LIERL, JOAN C., passed peacefully on October 31, 2015, at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olive (nee Lyon) and Paul Cain, her brother David Cain and her husband Raymond Lierl. She is survived by her loving and devoted partner Paul Wilbers, her children Kay Lierl Sunderman, Jerry (Beth) Lierl, Caroline (Frank) Spataro and Janet (Barry) Merten, and 10 grandchildren: Kristin (Sean) Luther, Andy, Erin, and Carrie Lierl; Eric Sunderman; Heather and Neil Spataro ‘07; and Hannah, Nicholas and Julia Merten. Joan worked at the University of Cincinnati and Good Samaritan Hospital until her retirement at age 65. Visitation at St. Boniface Church, 1750 Chase Ave., Northside, Saturday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Donations to Alzheimer's Association , 644 Linn St., Cincinnati, OH 45203, would be very much appreciated.
