GRAF, MARILYN HASKELL died on January 26, 2018, at the age of 96. Her husband of nearly seventy-two years, William R. Graf, died three days earlier (obit published 1/27/18-1/28/18) . She had a marvelous life, and she leaves her four children, Christine P. Graf, William R. Graf, Jr. (Martha), Josephine G. Thayer (Abbot), and Amy G. List (Tom); her seven grandchildren, Lindsay G. Marco (Brian), Lauren G. Seamon (Mark), Abigail T. Esselen (Jason), Richard P. Thayer ’03, Samuel B. List, Nell P. List, and Olivia H. List; and her seven great-grandchildren, Julia, Quinn, and Ellie Marco, Harper and Andrew Seamon, and Will and Lucy Esselen. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Samuel B. Haskell, Jr. and her grandson, William Graf Thayer. Marilyn was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Cincinnati at the age of seven. She grew up in Fernbank, a community she adored, and made life-long friends there. Following graduation from Walnut Hills High School, she earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Cincinnati. She was a proud member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, where she made many more enduring friendships. During college, she began dating the love of her life, Bill Graf. After college, she worked at the Children's Home of Cincinnati for three years prior to their marriage in 1946. For many years she was active in the Junior League. She was an enthusiastic bridge player and took pride in her award winning needlepoint. She was passionate about spending time in Northern Michigan with her family and many good friends. Her family is grateful for her love, support and wisdom; her joyful spirit; and her world class sense of humor. A funeral service will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 2944 Erie Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45208 at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
