MENKE, WILLIAM "BILL" L. ‘91 43, of Fort Myers, FL passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 1, 2016 at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL, 33919. Family will gather with friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL, 33907. Memorials: Trust Fund for Bill and Jodi's Children at 5/3's Bank.
Bill was born December 31, 1972 in Detroit, MI, the son of, William C. and Mary Lou (Lapan) Menke. He married Jodi McDonald on November 11, 2000 in Cincinnati, OH at St. Xavier Catholic Church. Bill was an entrepreneur of small business. He was a sports enthusiast and spent much of his spare time volunteering his time, as coach for Fort Myers American Little League (FMALL), softball and girls soccer.
While he was a student at St. Xavier High School, he was 1991 All-Star for the football team, both offense and defense. He graduated Georgetown University with a bachelor's degree with studies in Government and Economics. He also held a spot on the varsity football team at the college. While at St. Xavier, he was inducted into the National Honor Society.
Surviving are his wife, Jodi and his two children, Davis and Elizabeth of Fort Myers, FL; parents, William C. and Mary Lou Menke of Naples, FL; and one sister Lorelei Ross and her husband Eric of Charlotte, NC.
