THAMAN, JAMES “JIM” ’46 passed away Sept. 14, 2016 at the age of 88. Devoted brother of Marilyn (the late Jim) Schoelwer, the late Bill (Carol) Thaman ’44 and the late Gene (Gloria) Thaman ’48. Dear friend of the late Bess Klein. Treasured uncle of Bill (Amy) Thaman ’80, Mary (Ron Gottschalk) Thaman, Andrew Thaman ’85, Lauren (John Dovich) Thaman, Michael (Lisa Gathard) Thaman, Lisa (Bill) Bagshaw, Ed (Leslee Cooper) Schoelwer, Joan (Bob) Fixler, Mark (Amy) Schoelwer, Jim (Angie) Schoelwer, Tricia (Jack) Bauer, Mary (P.J.) Minnillo, Paul (Tonja) Schoelwer and Anne (Steve LaVelle ’96) Schoelwer. Jim will also be dearly missed by his 36 great-nieces and nephews. Visitation at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 3105 Madison Rd. in Oakley, Mon. Sept. 19th from 9:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. If desired, memorial contributions may be directed to the Thaman Family Scholarship Funds at either St. Xavier High School or Xavier University.
